The Democrats Idea of Change? More Taxes and a Weak America

This, from Jennifer Rubin of Commentary Magazine -- finally some truth from the Democrats. I had an earlier posting and video of Frank admitting that new taxes are on the way (despite Obama's persistent statements to the contrary):

Barney Frank and Joe Biden are the sodium pentothal of the Democratic Party. Biden told us to be afraid on national security. Frank tells us they Democrats will be coming after us with a big tax increase. Now Frank tells us that he wants a 25% reduction in defense spending.

Frank told the editorial board of the SouthCoast Standard-Times that he wanted to reduce defense spending by a quarter, meaning the United States would have to withdraw from Iraq sooner.

So let’s get this straight: we are going to see more than $4 trillion in new spending, have a big tax increase, and defund our military — while certain to face international challenges where “it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

And this is what Democrats are saying?

Well, some Democrats anyhow. This is the real Democratic Party, by the way -- the one that sees the U.S. military as the problem, not a force for good in the world. It's in line with Dick Durbin, who likened our troops to "jack booted thugs" and Jack Murtha, who sees them as evil doers. It's nothing new -- but it is good to finally see some truth here in the final stages of the campaign.

America: Wake Up!!! The Democrats are invested in turning the United States into Sweden -- a country of docile, tax-paying lemmings. They want to weaken us to the point where we are incapable of promoting democracy around the world. Why? Because they believe that capitalism is evil and that the only kind of democracy that works is the kind where the state has control of everything. Its called "socialist democracy", by the way. That's their goal.

It's clear -- is anyone out there paying attention?
